Pima Medical Institute is seeking a passionate Communications/Public Relations Manager to join our in-house marketing team. This position will play an integral role in developing and executing public relations, content marketing, copywriting and social media. This enthusiastic professional should be self-driven, accountable, and effective at collaborating with internal and external partners throughout the organization.

The ideal candidate will hold the trifecta in communications:
excellent writing skills, public relations rock star and social media strategist.


  • Develop and execute public relations and social media strategies
  • Collaborate with organizational partners in producing written and verbal communications including blog content, media communications, internal writing and editing projects
  • Participate in marketing team planning and development of brand building and lead generation strategies
  • Develop positive media relationships
  • Manage corporate blog and social media accounts
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts on content production
  • Generate and pitch ideas for social media and public relations
  • Produce earned media through social, political and media outreach
  • Write copy for print and digital assets


  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • BA/BS in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Technical understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, You Tube and Pinterest)
  • Strong networking skills
  • Customer service centric skills
  • Preferred industry experience in Communication/PR Roles in Education and Healthcare
